BlumShapiro, the largest regional accounting, tax and business consulting firm based in New England with offices in Massachusetts and Connecticut, is pleased to announce Massachusetts Office Partner-in-Charge, Kevin White, has been appointed to the Board of the United Way of Greater Plymouth County. The appointment was made at the Chapter’s annual meeting at the Shaw Center in Brockton on June 6, 2012.

“I’m honored to be involved with an organization that is doing great things for the community and comprised of a highly respected group of leaders,” said White. “I’m looking forward to working with them, in their quest to unite people, ideas and resources to improve lives.”

Established in 1922, the United Way of Greater Plymouth County is in its 90^th year of building strong partnerships in the community to address its neighbors’ most urgent needs.  They are one of over 1,200 independent, local United Way’s governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  The United Way of Greater Plymouth County serves the city of Brockton and 21 towns in the greater Plymouth County area.     

“We’ve known for years of Mr. White’s reputation,” said Dennis P. Carman, President and CEO of the United Way of Greater Plymouth County. “When we were looking for someone to serve on our board, possessing integrity in the accounting business, we couldn’t think of anyone other than Kevin White to guide us in the right direction financially. As a non-profit, we want to strive for excellence in that area.”

White brings more than twenty-five years industry experience to BlumShapiro, where he provides accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services to a wide range of privately held businesses and their owners in the manufacturing and distribution, retail, franchising and construction industries. White also has extensive experience with non-profit organizations.
