4 February Break Ideas for Kids

Frozen Ropes, Natick Community Organic Farm, Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary and the Natick Racquet Club will also hosts kids' programs this week for February Vacation.

 

We know that February school break can be both a blessing and a cause of stress for many parents. You get to spend more time with your kids, but this also means having to entertain them. With you busy schedules and work, this is no easy task. So, Natick Patch has put together an easy list of suggestions to the week ahead.

1. Frozen Ropes will host a full-day, multi-sport February Vacation Camp this week. Call 508-653-7673 to check availability and to register.

2. Natick Community Organic Farm is offers a Winter Farmers vacation program for children age 6 to 10 this week. Kids will help care for the animals, learn crafts, make treats and help tap the sugar maples if the weather allows. The program runs Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon (session one) or from 1 to 4 p.m. (session two). The cost is $180, or $144 for farm members. The farm will also host a Youth Work Experience program for kids age 11 and older from 8:30 a.m. to noon (session one) or 1 to 4:30 p.m. (session two). This program costs $144, of $115 for farm members. Call 508-655-2204 for more information and to register.

3. Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary will hold a February Vacation Camp for children of various ages from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Tuesday. Kids will search for animal tracks, learn how animals keep warm in the winter and play games. Call 508-655-2296 for more information and to register.

4. Natick Racquet Club will host a February Vacation Tennis Camp, beginning Tuesday this week. Call 508-653-4606 for more information.
