5 Things: Police Warn of Local Gypsy Scam

The Natick Police Department issued a warning of local home repair scams.

1. Natick police issued a warning Tuesday night of local "gypsy scammers" who have been soliciting home repair scams in nearby Waltham recently. "Natick residents are asked to keep a wary eye for any activity they find suspicious," an NPD Facebook post said.

2. Today is the first day of school for Natick students and is the grand opening of the new Natick High School. Did you or your kids take photos? We would love you to share them with your neighbors here

3. The Natick Trail Buddies are at it again today on their mission to keep the town's public trails healthy. The group will convene at Arthur Morency Woods to "clean up" encroaching vegetation. Contact Pat Conaway at 508-740-9949 for more info.

4. Palettes is hosting Eat, Drink and Paint today where you can create art with a glass of wine or craft beer. The $35 event begins at 6:30 p.m.
