5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 27
Download TCAN's new iPhone app, catch a Groucho Marx impersonator and vote for your favorite flower shop in town today.
1. The Center for the Arts in Natick now has its own iPhone app, known as TCAN Mobile. The free app allows users to see information on upcoming shows and even play YouTube videos or MP3 clip of some of the performers. The app also allows you to add the shows to your own iPhone or iPad calendar, view seating charts, relevant news items and box office information. Want to grab a bite to eat before or after a TCAN show? The app has information on the nearest restaurants as well. The app can be found in the App Store.
2. Where do you get your flowers for Valentine's Day, to say "get well soon" to a friend, a corsage for prom or a bouquet to please the one you love? Vote for the number one flower shop in all of Natick until 9 a.m. Friday. The winner will be announced at noon. Don't forget it's not only the number of votes in the poll that count, but also comments—so vote here and support your favorite shop!
3. Next Tuesday begins the month of May and thus a new collection of programs at the Mass Audubon Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary, including birding events and children's classes. Visit the center's website for more information on all May programs.
4. Speaking of TCAN, at 8 p.m., the venue will host a night with Groucho Marx impersonator, Frank Ferrante. Tickets are $35 for non-members and $30 for members. Discounts are available for students, seniors and children.
5. Did you know you can now comment on articles on Patch without signing up for an account? Instead, you can log in with your Facebook account in order to comment. Try it if you haven't already!
