5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 6

Happy Easter weekend!

Our daily morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. There's no school today in Natick because of Good Friday. If you're a parent, surely, you already know this—for all of you afternoon drivers, though, that means you're not going to get stuck behind a bus that is dropping kids off after school. Is anyone using the day to celebrate the holiday? What do you do?

2. Award-winning artist Gloria Ross will be exhibiting her images in a show at The Center for the Arts Natick, 14 Summer St., Natick, through the end of April. The exhibit is titled “Not Your Grandmother’s Still Life.” The exhibits can be viewed during TCAN’s normal business hours, Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 6 p.m.

3. Did you know it's dangerous to flush pills down your toilet? Natick Police are holding a drop-off day for old prescriptions Aprili 28, to make sure you can dispose of them properly.

4. It's nice to know that sometimes karma comes back around, especially when your credit card information was stolen. Police arrested a 30-year-old woman for credit card fraud this week at Kay's Jewelers.

5. Easter is Sunday, and to all who celebrate it, may it be a fun, family-filled day!
