5 Things You Need to Know Today: Oct. 25

Check out these five things you should know in Natick today.

Our daily morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. It's getting to be that time of year when you'll have to stock up on your seasonal cold medicines from CVS or Walgreens. While you won't be able to always avoid getting a cold this winter, you can avoid the flu by getting a flu shot from the Natick Board of Health at the Lodge of Elks today. Residents age 3 and older can obtain the shot between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those age 2 through 18 can choose FluMist.

2. Pumpkins are ripe for the picking at Belkin Family Lookout Farm. The farm is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. everyday.

3. Town Meeting continues at 7:30 p.m. at Wilson Middle School. See the results for Town Meeting night one and night two.

4. At 10:30 a.m., Whitney Place Assisted Living Residences will host an Alzheimers support group.

5. Nearby at the Framingham AMC theater, the Boston Jewish Film Festival begins at 7 p.m.
