5 Things You Need to Know Today: Sep. 20

If you have ever wanted to get a glimpse into how the town is run, one of Natick's Selectmen will be holding office hours today.

 

1. Local author, Micah Nathan, will hold a reading of his new collection, Jack the Bastard and Other Stories at Renew Arts & Industry today. The free event begins at 7 p.m.

2. Carol Gloff, a member of Natick's Board of Selectmen, will hold her office hours today for anyone who would like to voice a concern or get a glimpse into how the town is run. Stop by to the Town Hall 9 a.m. to drop in for a meeting. 

3. The Open Space Advisory Committee, the Conservation Commission and the Design Review Board will meet at 8:30 a.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. respectively in the Town Hall.

4. David Cobb, a political strategist, will be speaking at the Senior Center today about how money influences politics. If you want to learn about how supreme court decisions are influenced by super PACs and other donations, stop by at 7 p.m.

Today's Selectman's office hours are at the temporary Senior Center, not Town Hall. The temporary Senior Center is the former East School, located at the intersection of Route 9 and Oak Street. I hope to see you there!
