Our weekly Contributor's Corner highlights some of our reader-submitted announcements so that you don't miss a thing happening in Natick. Here are some of this week's featured events:
1. The Gift-A-Book program is back at Kennedy Middle School
The Gift-A-Book program is returning to the Kennedy School Library.
Donate a book to the library:
- To celebrate your child's birthday
- To honor a teacher or other staff member
- In memory of a loved one
- To honor a graduating 8th grader
- As a holiday gift
Your book will be added to the KMS library collection and a bookplate with the honoree's name will be affixed to the inside front cover. The honoree or giver has the opportunity to be the first person to borrow the book. Stay tuned for more details on the program.
2. The William Chase Arena is seeking donations for Toys-for-Tots.
The William Chase Arena will collect donations for Toys for Tots all week and at their public skate on Dec. 4 from 2 to 3:20 p.m. Get a free ticket for a future free skate when you bring in a new unwrapped toy to donate.
3. The Scrips program is great for holiday gifts. Help the school and get your shopping done at the same time.
The Scrips program is now available for Lilja Elementary School. You can purchase gift cards through Lilja and a percentage of the sale goes to Lilja's fourth grade fundraising effort. Purchase them as gifts or buy them for your everyday shopping - groceries, gas, coffee! A great way to budget your holiday shopping. See the Virtual Backpack for Scrips order form and listing of gift cards available. Contact Tracy Alam with questions 508-647-4726. Orders are due by December 7th.
Additionally, Scrub a Dub coupons are also available now! Purchase either an Express wash ($8.50) or Works wash ($17) as a gift or for yourself to rescue your car from salt and grim this Winter. See the Virtual Backpack for an order form or contact Susie Belyea directly 508-650-4251. This makes a great stocking stuffer or Yankee Swap gift, and dads love them! Deadline for orders is December 9th.
