Gun Shot Victim Not Cooperating With Police; Suspect Still Sought
Gun shots and shootings have happened several times in the Beaver Street neighborhood of Framingham since the end of March.
A man was shot in the back on Beaver Street in Framingham this weekend.
It looks like he will "survive" said Framingham Police Lt. Ron Brandolini Monday morning.
Area Police Departments, including Natick Police, have been given the shooter's description.
He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital via a medical helicopter. He had surgery to remove bullet fragments.
Reports of gun shots and shooting are not uncommon for this neighborhood, located South of Route 135 near the Sherborn line.
A woman was shot in the buttocks a few months back, in the same neighborhood. Framingham Police while investigating a report of gun shots on Morton Street discovered the woman was shot in a different shooting that same night. Witnesses took her to the hospital for treatment, but did not call the police.
A couple of weeks ago, Framingham Police responded to a report of gunshots fired on Second Street.
Brandolini said Sunday's shooting "was not random." Sunday's shooting took place on Beaver Street at the corner of Third Street, a block from Second Street.
Unfortunately, the neighborhood has not been helpful with police in catching those responsible for the gun shots and shootings.
"The victim is not cooperating," said Brandolini.
Witnesses were not helpful in the March shootings either. Again, the woman shot did not cooperate with police.

Beaver Street has ALWAYS been a war zone. Time to knock all the drug/slum houses down and put up million dollar condos. That outta do it!
