Blueberries are not only good for you, they are good for the Framingham History Center, too.
Tonight, the blueberry muffin beer ($6 a pint) will be re-named Shoppers Ale. And for every pint of the amber ale with hints of blueberry and cinnamon sold, $1 will go to the Framingham History Center.
John Harvard's is also unveiling a Jordan Marsh-style blueberry muffin dessert ($5.99), of which $1 also will go to the Framingham History Center. The dessert featured a Jordan Marsh-style blueberry muffin, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and topped with whiskey-whipped cream.
Tonight join the Framingham History Center at John Harvard's Brew House for a launch party from 6-8. Sample the Shoppers Ale and appetizers. Also during the event, the Framingham History Center is selling a collectible Shoppers World-themed pint glass for $10.
The partnership highlights the History Center's newest exhibit Shoppers World 1951-1994. The exhibit is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Edgell Memorial Library. Admission is $5 adult, free for members and children.
