'Labor Day' Movie to Shoot in Downtown Natick

The Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin film "Labor Day" will shoot in downtown Natick this month.

Patrick Donovan, a producer from the Hollywood movie "Labor Day" told Selectmen on Monday crews will be filming in downtown Natick on Aug. 13.

Donovan requested the use of parking spaces around Natick Center at the meeting. James Hicks, Natick's Police Chief, said he will work with producers to limit obstruction of the downtown area.

Starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin, the film depicts a "depressed single mom, Adele, and her son Henry offer a wounded, fearsome man a ride. As police search town for the escaped convict, the mother and son gradually learn his true story as their options become increasingly limited," according to IMDB.com.
