Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature in which Natick Patch highlights some of what people shared on Facebook and other media in the past week.

We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not know about.

Highlights of the Week

Natick Patch has 543 likes on Facebook. We are proud of our ever growing numbers, and we hope you will continue to tell your friends to give us a click. If you have local events or announcements you'd like us to know about, give us a shout and we'll list them on our page and post them on Facebook for you.

We also have a presence on Twitter. If you follow us @NatickPatch, we'll follow you back. We believe in spreading the love.

Social Media Page of the Week

Each week the Natick Patch scours Facebook in search of the page that sings about Natick. We then dub it our social media page of the week. If you would like to be considered, send an email to Faith594@msn.com, and tell us why you are worthy of the title. This week's winner came to us  unsolicited, but if you tell us you exist, we'll give you a shout-out. This week's winner is, drum roll, please...Little Bits Toys. With Christmas a week away, this is an awesome store to visit for unique toys. They currently have 33 likes on Facebook and they are chatting about toys for an older child. Give them a click and check them out.

Your Town on Social Media

Our Facebook page is aways a busy place, but leave it to the holidays to make it even busier. We took the time to remind you about our Deck the House Contest. If you win, your town's schools will receive $100,000.

We also had a virtual birthday party for ourselves as we joyously sang about our 1-year-anniversary. We hope we've made a difference in the community, and we look forward to many more years of serving you; our readers.

James Yocom commented on our post about Christmas shopping by saying, "I have ONE gift to buy and I will be finished."

We are presuming he either only buys for one person, or his wife does all of the shopping. Either way, we're proud of you, James, and maybe a tiny bit jealous.

We are also thankful to Maureen Walsh who straightened our calendar error out by saying, "Early release for Lilja is on Thursday...not Tuesday fyi!"
