Natick Redmen Shirt Raises Money for Family of Slain NHS Grad
Natick Redmen Pride shirts, on sale for $15, will raise money for the family of Stacey Keane Burns, a 1985 graduate of NHS, who was murdered in 2009.
With the recent controversy over the Natick High School mascot change to the Red Hawks, many in Natick have been outspoken about their loyalty to the original Natick Redmen name. Now, the NHS Class of 1985 is offering a way to display that pride, while helping to support the family of a murdered former classmate.
Three members of the class have created Natick "Redmen" Indian Chief t-shirts and are selling them for $15. For each shirt sold, $5 will be donated to the Stacey Keane Burns Childrens Education Fund. Burns was was found murdered on Mothers Day in 2009. The fund was created to help raise money to help send her five children to college.
The shirts are available for purchase on the Natick High School Class of 1985 website and at Jones Drug Store.
A classmate donated the artwork on the t-shirt and the shirt creators are not earning any profit from the sales.

To think that changing the name is going to change history is a little fare fetched but still shows how nutty people can be all in the name of political correctness.
Hard to believe they got away with this. Just shows what happens when a small minority plays hardball with ya.
