Obituaries: John Huling, Evelyn Faldasz, Billy Rattigan
Natick has lost three longtime residents.
John R. Huling, 86, died November 20. Born in Hartford, CT, he lived in Natick for 56 years. He was the owner of Natick Appliance Sales and Service, and then Natick Vacuum Cleaner Service on Pond Street, which he ran until his retirement in 2008.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Teresa, seven children, fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandaughter. Arrangements were handled by John Everett & Sons Funeral Home and he was buried on Monday in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Evelyn D. (Slamin) Faldasz, 84, died November 25. A lifelong resident of Natick, she attended Natick schools, and also worked as a lunch monitor in the Lilja Elementary School. She is survived by her husband, Zigmont (Ziggie), two children and two grandchildren.
Her funeral will be Friday, November 30 at 9:15 a.m. from John Everett & Sons Funeral Home to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 29, from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
William G. “Billy” Rattigan 85, died Monday, November 26. Born in Brighton, he was a 55-year resident of Natick. He was a WWII veteran of the Army, and was employed by the Treasury Department for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 20 years until his retirement in 1992.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor, three children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
His funeral will be held on Friday, November 30 at 10:30 a.m. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
