Police Warn: Lock Your Car Doors

A recent spike in motor vehicle break-ins has police advising residents of something simple to protect their belongings: lock your doors.

Natick Police say residents can do something simple to prevent themselves from becoming the latest victims in a string of motor vehicle break-ins in town: lock your car doors.

A map released by the Natick Police Department shows 18 different locations where cars were broken into so far in 2012, some locations with multipe incidents. In all cases, the cars were unlocked.

The individuals responsible have been stealing GPS systems, money and other valuables from the vehicles.
