Dozens of Roads on Five-Year Improvement Plan [Poll]
Is your road on the town's repair list for the next five years? Check the list.
Tuesday, we filled you in on the 14 roads to be filled in during the upcoming year. Today we are sharing the remainder of the town's five-year plan. The plan is subject to change.
At a Board of Selectmen meeting Monday night, Town Engineer Mark Coviello said the town has no obligation to resurface roads that have not been accepted as public ways and must only make sure they are passable for emergency vehicles.
Residents who live on unaccepted roads can work with the Department of Public Works to have a road paved, but the neighbors must fund the project themselves. Unaccepted roads may include those with no drainage, poor gravel conditions or those that are partially on private property.
Out of 155 miles of roads in Natick, 26 are unaccepted, said Coviello.
