Sereda DanceWorks Holds Auditions this Friday

Apprentice and Teen Repertory Dance Company opportunities are available for Dancers ages 8 and older.

Sereda DanceWorks, formerly the Children’s Dance Theater, is offering auditions for the Apprentice and Teen Repertory Dance Company on Friday, June 24.

Audition times for the apprentice company will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for dancers ages 8 to 12, and the teen company auditions for ages 13 and up will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to arrive at 3 p.m. so they can register and warm up.

The auditions will consist of a free master class in ballet and modern dance. This is an opportunity for the dancer to showcase individual strengths and personal style.

Sereda DanceWorks, committed to sharing the joy of dance as an art form, provides a serious dance program for those who may want to pursue a career in dance, as well as programs for the novice dancer.

Child, teen, and adult dance instruction includes the technical nuances not typically offered in suburban dance programs. The instructors possess national experience and proven teaching credentials.

Patty MaGill, the in-house physical therapist, will educate students weekly about physical mechanics and individually guide dancers toward body awareness specific to dancers’ needs.

Class sizes are small, and they offer a nurturing environment that “promotes confidence gained through achievements in dance skills, personal growth, and self-expression,” according to their press release.

Sereda DanceWorks is located at 89H Washington Ave. in Natick. More information can be found at childrensdancetheater.com, by calling 508-545-1340, or by contacting Carol Schneider-Sereda directly at 508-259-0909.
