Sherlock Holmes, Tom Rush Head to Natick
The June calendar at the Center for the Arts in Natick is filled with musical performances and shows.
Each month, The Center for Arts in Natick brings you music, theater and more. The following are events scheduled for June:
Sherlock Holmes, The Final Adventure
Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays from June 1 through June 10
The TCAN players will present this 2007 Edgar Allan Poe Best Mystery award-winning play by Stephen Dietz on weekends through June 10. In this show, Sherlock Holmes comes back from near retirement to solve one last case when a famous opera singer blackmails the King of Bohemia. Tickets are $18 for non-members and $16 for members. Seniors and students pay $9.
Folk Open Mic Night
June 12, 8 p.m.: Mark Stepakoff will host this evening of performances from local musicians. Singer-songwriter Sam Otis Hill is scheduled to perform. Admission is $5 for non-members and free for members.
June 26, 8 p.m.: Oen Kennedy is scheduled to perform.
Tom Rush Concert
Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16, 8 p.m.
Musical legend Tom Rush will perform two nights at TCAN. He has played at a wide range of venues, including Carnegie Hall. Tickets are $35 for non-members and $33 for members. Discounts are available for seniors and students.
TCAN Golf Outing
Wednesday, June 20 (rain date June 27)
Golfers of all skill levels are invited to the TCAN golf outing at Natick's Sassamon Golf Course. Participants can create their own groups of four, or be placed into assigned groups. There will be awards, refreshments and a chance to win $5,000 in cash. Register at TCAN or online at natickarts.org.
Rock Off Main
Friday June 22, 7:30 p.m.
Enjoy TCAN's Rock Off Main concert series, featuring performances by local musicians. June 22 is the final night of the season. Four musicians will win a $1,000 scholarship for the five-week Berklee College of Music Summer Program. Tickets are $8.
The Swingle Singers
Saturday, June 23, 8 p.m.
The Swingle Singers bring contemporary vibes to a wide range of music from Bach, to the Beatles, to Bjork and some current British hits. Tickets are $35 for non-members, $30 for members. Senior and student discounts are available.
Lez Zeppelin
Friday, June 29, 8 p.m.
This all-female group wows the crowds with their Led Zeppelin covers. Tickets are $35 for non-members and $30 for members.
Felix Cavaliere
Saturday, June 30, 8 p.m.
The Young Rascal's frontman and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member will play old hits. Tickets are $35 for non-members and $30 for members.
