Shoplifting Suspect Escapes Police After Chase
Police arrested a man who police say worked in tandem with a suspected shoplifter who fled from police Saturday.
A suspected shoplifter escaped from police after fleeing from the Natick Mall on Saturday, according to Lt. Brian Lauzon of the Natick Police Department.
Natick Police chased the suspect on foot to a Speen Street storage facility and soon called off the search as officers were unable to locate him.
Daniel Francois was working in tandem with the escaped suspect, Lauzon said. Francois, 20, from Brockton, was arrested on Saturday and charged with larceny over $250 and was cited for marijuana possession.
Francois allegedly stole sunglasses from Gucci valued at $300 and shorts from True Religion valued at $165.
The escaped suspect is described as a young black male with short braided hair who was wearing cargo shorts and white sneakers at the time of the escape.
