South Natick Art in the Park Lasts Through October
South Natick Art in the Park returns this year, this time meeting the first Sunday of every month through October. The event features local artists, businesses and performers.
South Natick Art in the Park is returning— this year, for more than just one day. From this Sunday May 6 through October, local artists will draw the crowds on the first Sunday of every month to Shaw Park at the intersection of Route 16 and Union Street.
This year, locals can look forward to not only original artwork from area artists and artisans, but also antiques, fresh flowers, artisanal foods and performing artists. Currently, there are 15 visual artists and two performing artists signed up for May, including a folk acoustic music duo and a ventriloquist that will perform Sunday at 1 p.m.
Event organizer and artist Dianne Sullivan hopes that the event will draw more locals to the little explored southern part of town along the Charles River. Visitors can check out the Art in the Park gathering after enjoying a walk by the falls across the street, or grabbing a bite to eat or drink at the nearby Charles River Coffee House, Corrado's South or The Pizza Shop at South Natick.
South Natick Art in the Park runs the first Sunday of every month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spots are still available for artists to join. Those that are interested should contact Dianne Sullivan at artsyfartsy.crch@yahoo.com.
