Tobey Maguire was in Natick Monday with film crews to film his upcoming movie, "Labor Day," in the downtown area.
Crews took over the Bakery on the Common Monday morning until around 1:30 p.m. Extras packed the cafe's seats while local residents gathered outside to see a Hollywood production in action.
The film, set to debut in 2013, also features Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin.
The film's synopsis reads: "Depressed single mom Adele and her son Henry offer a wounded, fearsome man a ride. As police search town for the escaped convict, the mother and son gradually learn his true story as their options become increasingly limited," according to IMDB.com.
Jenifer Stevens, a local resident who attended the shooting, waited outside the Bakery on the Common while shooting was taking place.
"I like Toby but I'm really into film and I wanted to see how it works," Stevens said.
