Located near the center of town on 8 Court St., is a little shop you may have passed by on your way to work without taking much noticed. And if you've only passed by the window of Five Crows Gallery and briefly stared at the treasures inside, you're missing out. Inside the doors of the little shop, you'll find two rooms filled with unique and beautiful creations from 145 local artists—things that you would never find anywhere else. Adagio Salon & Spa has so much more to offer than just hair cuts and color. Diana Perel is a spunky business owner, who clearly knows how to keep customers coming back for more. The salon has a very relaxed feel to it with the option of all kinds of hair treatments as well as manicure, pedicures, facials and more. Perel expalined that "many people are drawn to Adagio for their wedding and prom hair dos." Located right on East Central Street, Adagio is certainly a place to unwind and get away, while never leaving Natick at all.
If nothing else, Natick businessman Nathaniel Clark had gumption. In less than two years subsequent to the construction of his block-long building in downtown Natick, it burned to the ground in the Great Fire of 1874. But Clark had not amassed his great fortune, nor gained the affection of the whole community for nothing. Within a year he had built a brand-new structure, including new 80-foot additions at the north and south ends, that came to be called “The Clark Block,” a designation it bears to this day.
