Book Signing with Joanne Chang at Bacon Free Library

Here are 5 things to know today in Natick.

1. Chef/author Joanne Chang will visit the Bacon Free Library Sept. 17 at 7 pm. She will sign and sell copies of both of her books: 

She will bring tasty treats for guests to enjoy as well.

Those attending the book signing and tasting at Bacon Free Library in South Natick are advised to arrive early for best seating choices.

2. Baldwin Hill Art & Framing is now open for business. Check out its new location at 8 Court Street and its Grand Opening reception this Thursday, Sept. 19.

3. Parent Night for Wilson Middle School families with students in grades five and six is Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. This is an opportunity for parents (no students) to meet teachers and hear about the team expectations for the year. Please keep in mind that this is a night for all parents and not for individual conferences about your child.  A separate meeting can be set up with the team if you wish to meet about your child.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month

and to celebrate Kennedy Middle School is helping students get library cards for the Morse Institute Library (and therefore, the Minuteman Library Network) if they don't already have one. Such a card allows students access to many resources that are helpful for schoolwork, homework and pleasure.   

The students can see Mrs. Rotkiewicz to get a library card sign up form. If parents do not want their child to get a card, they should contact Mrs. Rotkiewicz.

Tuesday: Partly to mostly sunny and cool. Near 60 along the coast to 64 inland. Wind NNE 8-20mph. Strongest breeze over southeast Mass.

Wednesday: Cold start with many towns in the upper 30s, fantastic finish with highs near 70 and lots of sunshine.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.
