More than 80 NHS students participated in the event. According to code.org
"9 out of 10 schools do not offer computer programming."
Natick High is one of the 120 schools in Massachusetts which offers a variety of courses which include computer programming.
Computer science is a top paying college degree and computer programming jobs are growing at two times the national average.

3. An informational program for parents/guardians of students currently in Grade 8 at Kennedy, Wilson, charter and private schools will be conducted on Jan. 15.
Tours of Natick High School will begin at 6:30 p.m., while the program itself will be from 7-9 p.m. in the Natick High auditorium.Information will be presented relating to selecting courses for grade nine and planning a four-year high school program. High School department heads will be presenting information regarding course offerings for ninth-graders. A representative from Keefe Tech will also present information.
High school counselors will visit the Natick middle schools in January to provide the students with scheduling materials and information about course selection.
Middle school counselors will be meeting with grade eight students to work out grade nine programs of study beginning in February.
