Natick Resident Selected for Harding University Chorus

Here are 5 things to know today in Natick.

1. Kaitlin Plachy of Natick has been selected for the 2013-14 Harding University Chorus. Following auditions at the beginning of the fall semester, students were chosen for the 60-member ensemble that performs on and off campus.

Plachy, a French major, performs choral classics, new works, spirituals, opera, folk songs, novelties and contemporary Christian songs.

Harding is the largest private university in Arkansas with 6,295 students.

2. Photo Retake Day for Johnson School students is Nov. 8. Students should return the entire, undamaged portrait package to the photographer on Retake Day. Write any suggestions for the photographer on a piece of paper so it shows through the envelope window. If your school has class photos, keep it.

3. Veterans' Day Spirit Day at Brown School is Nov. 8. Students are encourage to wear red, white, and blue. Donate loose change for a Veterans' charity. Boy and Girl Scouts bring your uniforms for a special flag ceremony.
