Natick Students to Perform at Symphony Hall
Here are 5 things to know today in Natick.
1. The following students from Natick will be performing at Symphony Hall at BYSO’s 56th season-opening concert on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 3 p.m.:
- Amy Gu, Natick, 15, BYS, Violin
- Changyoung (Calvin) Kim, Natick, 17, BYS, Clarinet

These young musicians auditioned for BYSO in May of 2013. Of the 830 applicants, nearly 496 were chosen to become members of BYSO.

2. The Board of Selectmen of the Town of Natick will conduct public hearings at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, Oct. 7, in the Edward H. Dlott Meeting Room, at Town Hall, for the street layout acceptance of Main Street, as shown on a plan entitled Street Acceptance Plan of a Portion of Summer Street, by Sullivan Surveying Company, LLC, dated July 16, 2013.
3. The Cultural Council is seeking requests for proposals for initiatives the council could contribute funding toward.

All proposals must be postmarked by Oct. 15 and can be sent to Barbara Shenker, Natick Cultural Council, Natick Town Hall, 13 East Central St., Natick MA
Requests for funding are in the range from $250 to $500.
