Wilson Middle School Launches the Wilson Gazette

Here are 5 things to know today in Natick.

1. A group of about 10 students has been working diligently to interview students, teachers, and community members to create the new Wilson Gazette, a student-run newspaper that will update the community on important people and events happening at Wilson Middle School.

Check out the incredible combined effort of the Journalism Club and the News Club, which have worked together over the last few months to create the first Wilson Middle School online newspaper. To view the online paper, visit http://schoolmagazine.wix.com/thewilsongazette.

2. Join the Johnson School PTO in the gym and hallways of Johnson for the annual Holiday Bazaar. Start your holiday shopping with local artisans crafts and good, enjoy live music, and have some fun with cookie decorating, fantastic kids crafts and a photo booth. Click here to read more about the Bazaar and to volunteer.  There are many ways to volunteer at home or the day of the event.

3. Natick resident Kaitlin Plachy, a French major at Harding University, was inducted into the University's Alpha Chi Honor Society on Nov. 17.

The society recognizes the academic excellence of college students nationwide. To be selected for induction, students must be in the top 10 percent of their class. Alpha Chi encourages high standards and acknowledges the scholarship of these students.
