Casting Note: A multi-cultural cast of 6-10 women and two men of all ages, sizes and races must be able to sing, dance and act. Because of the mature subject matter, auditions will be restricted to women 18 and older. Please prepare UP TO 32 measures of a song of your choice. The song should NOT be from the show. Please bring sheet music for the pianist with appropriate markings, and in the correct key.  Please wear comfortable shoes for a brief dance audition. There will be readings from the script.

Synopsis: A, My Name is Alice is a musical revue conceived by Joan Micklin Silver and Julianne Boyd. Frank Rich reviewing for The New York Times, calling the revue “delightful”, wrote: “Many of the songs are theater songs in the best sense: The music and lyrics are so sophisticated that they can carry the weight of one-act plays. A song called Friends recounts the entire history of a friendship that sustains two women from high school through marriage and old age; another, titled Sisters, provides a similar account of two women whose lifelong sibling rivalry at last reaches a bittersweet resolution in a lonely apartment in Queens.
