Boston Pride Forms Youth Committee and Announces June 14th Youth Dance

Boston Pride announced today that it will host its annual Youth Dance following the 2014 Boston Pride Festival on Saturday, June 14th at 6pm at City Hall Plaza. This year’s theme is “A Night in Paradise,” where LGBT youths under 23 years of age can come together to celebrate, dance, and mingle with other LGBT youth in Boston! The evening will include a meet and greet with actor Alex Newell, who plays the character “Unique” in the Fox hit show Glee, as well as a performance by RuPaul’s Drag Race fan favorite Joslyn Fox. The event will also feature performances by local LGBT youth. Tickets can be pre-ordered online for $10 or purchased at the door for $15.

“The youth dance is always a great event and is an important opportunity for LGBT youth to celebrate their community,” said Henry Paquin, Chair of the Youth Dance. “We are also excited to announce this year’s Youth Committee which provides a safe place for LGBT youth to express themselves and thrive in a supportive environment. It creates welcoming and inclusive programming for LGBT youth in the Metro Boston Area to gather, network and forge healthy community connections.”
