Math Academy Tutors Wanted

JFS is looking for committed volunteers to provide mentoring and tutoring support to students enrolled in the Math Academy, an after-school program for 4th grade students at the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Framingham.  Your role would be to work with a small group of 4-5 students on math concepts such as number sense and operations.  You will assist the students in understanding the material, ensuring they stay on task and support them with general needs.  Most of all you’ll be a positive role model, develop meaningful relationships with the students, and show them that learning is fun.  This is a once a week commitment, Monday or Tuesday afternoons from 2:45p-5:15p. 1 hour training required.
