Natick Local Gabi Samels Featured in Walnut Hill's Crimes of the Heart

Natick, MA – Gabi Samels of Natick, MA will play the role of Lenny MaGrath in Walnut Hill School for the Arts’ autumn production of Crimes of the Heart later this month.

Set in rural Mississippi, the irreverent comedy of Crimes of the Heart tells the story of three eccentric sisters – of which Lenny MaGrath, played by Samels, is the eldest – who reunite in the final hours of their grandfather’s life, each facing their own peculiar set of challenges and each with her own unique strength. Performances will take place on November 14, 15 & 16 at 8:00pm and November 17 at 2:00pm at Walnut Hill’s Keiter Center for the Performing Arts in Natick, MA.

Samels, a senior at Walnut Hill, was recently cast in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Featured Ensemble) and has appeared in a number of other school productions such as Sorry, Wrong Number (Operator), A New Brain (Featured Ensemble), Anything Goes (Featured Ensemble), and The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley (various roles). Outside of Walnut Hill, Samels has also played the role of Nurse in The Who's Tommy and Delta Nu in Legally Blonde. In addition to numerous theatrical performances, Samels has been taken voice and dance lessons for the past five years, and has taught singing and drama at the YMCA’s Camp Frank A. Day.
