PROUD TO BE RUNNING IN THE BOSTON MARATHON

The MetroWest YMCA is delighted to announce that Natick resident Amy Miller will represent us in the 2014 Boston Marathon. “Within a week of moving to Natick we joined the MetroWest Y”, Amy said. And Amy and her family have been active at the Y ever since, from swimming classes, to using the Wellness Center, to participating in Child Watch, to enjoying holiday parties and Y fundraisers.

“As someone who values working within and for a community, it simply makes sense to run the Boston Marathon for the MetroWest Y.  Running is a solitary activity. However, running the Marathon for the Y will help me achieve two personal goals: finishing the race, but also raising money for a great organization.  That connection to the community is what will help motivate me to finish, that I’m part of something bigger.”
