The expectations? Tons of fun.
The 15th annual Natick Days will be held on Sept. 21 on the Common from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Started on Sept. 4, 1999, Natick Days is a way for local teenagers and nonprofits to earn funds in a festive atmosphere full of entertainment.
This year, more than 100 groups will gather to increase awareness about their causes, raise funds, and entertain visitors.
Scheduled activities include:
- Obstacle courses;
- Decorating bicycle helmets;
- A duck race with gutters and soaker water guns;
- Firetrucks for kids to explore;
- An organized helmet-painting event by the Natick Police Department.
Raffle tickets will be offered to adults with a wide variety of prizes up for grabs. There will also be a silent auction for other prizes.
There will also be food available for purchase.
If you plan on driving to the Town Common, you may be hard-pressed to find parking.
The following streets will be posted “No Parking" for Natick Days:
- In advance and day of the event:
East Central Street: Rt. 27 to Hayes St (both sides)
Hayes Street: West side only
Mulligan Street: Northeast corner only
South Avenue: Washington Street to Hayes Street
- Day of the event:
East Street (South side only)
Plain Street (West side only)
Sherman Street: Morse Street to Grant Street (South side only)
Grant, Wilson, Lincoln and Mulligan streets. (Approx. 30 feet in from Rt. 135 to allow turning).
