Natick Parade Cancelled Due to Hurricane Arthur

The Natick Friends of the 4th has decided to cancel the Fourth of July parade, due to the assumed arrival of Hurricane Arthur during the day on Friday.
The organization waited until the very last minute to decide to cancel, to see if the weather would be changing. Historically, the event is held, rain or shine, but the storm is expected to be a difficult one and no one wanted to see anyone get hurt.
After a conference call earlier this afternoon was held with the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency and included members of the organization, the director of Recreation and Parks, and police, organizers decided to call off the event. There is no rain date, according to officials.
