No, they aren't. It is an early release day.

Tony: Natick has an early release like Framingham. There is school today. This is basic reporting and you can't even get this done right! Should we have all the parents who chose to send their kids back to bed, now blame it on the Patch! Great job you are doing. (Yes, sarcasm!)

Nice move Patch - can you hire the local editors back NOW??
Tony Schinella (Editor) February 13, 2014 at 08:59 AM
Thanks so much for the notes. I misread the alert very early this morning.

So for a student who read this at 6:45 a.m and went back to bed and missed his exam, can he blame it on Patch? How many parents do you think read this and sent the kids back to bed? Will you write a note to the school for each parent who kept their child home? A Patch excuse (yes sarcasm again). My guess is you wrote the alert half asleep and went back to bed yourself. Bad reporting. Bring back the old Natick Editor!

It was an honest mistake, D Penta, it happens. But yes, to anyone who had this problem, let me know, and I'd be happy to write a note for you.
D Penta February 13, 2014 at 05:08 PM
Changing your headline and admitting your mistake after all the kids are in school or should have been school does nothing. Readers were messaging you all morning about the mistake on Facebook and it took you almost 4 hours to fix it. Patch readers deserve better that what we are getting here!

D Penta should demand a refund of their large, paid subscription.

Not ready to throw in the towel just yet Larry! Tony was booted from Framingham and we got another Patch editor and it looks like my hometown Patch may be seeing more positive changes too. I'll just have to wait for change here on the Patch site where I work. I'm happy to give my opinion while I wait. If they didn't want my opinion, they would not have a comment box!
Tony Schinella (Editor) February 18, 2014 at 09:01 PM
I wasn't "booted" from anything - I was the one who suggested the change.
