Salon-A-Thon to Benefit The One Fund Boston

Taglio Salon will hold their second annual Salon-A-Thon on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

"We did this last year for the American Cancer Society," Taglio Salon stylist Laura Menendez said. "We do the Relay for Life and we did this along with the walk. This year we chose The One Fund Boston. It hits home. We just want to give back."

No appointment is necessary and people can get hair cuts, manicures and eyebrow waxes on a first come, first serve basis with all proceeds going to the One Fund Boston. Cash or check will be accepted. Make checks out to "One Fund Boston."

Raffle tickets will also be sold for $1 each. Prizes that can be won in the raffles include:

• $50 Scrub-a-Dub gift card
• Taglio Signature Facial ($75 value)
• Taglio Signature Pedicure ($40 value)
• Pampered Chef Cool & Serve Tray ($46.50 value)
• Heads or Tails gift card ($60) for grooming or doggie day care

These are just some of the prizes that can be won by purchasing raffle tickets.

"The people running the marathon were trying to better their lives and make a statement and this is what happens to them?" Taglio Salon senior stylist Melissa O'Brien said. "Why shouldn't we help them?"
