Share Your SPARK Campaign

In its continued effort to build a kind and empowered community here in Natick, SPARK Kindness (sparkkindness.org) is launching a campaign/contest for all early childhood and elementary students in the town of Natick called “Share Your SPARK.”

SPARK Kindness believes we all carry a SPARK of kindness can be used to help others.  We are asking children in Natick to show us through their own art or writing how they can Share their SPARK!  To enter, children (with adult permission) can submit any work of art or writing (story, poem or essay) that explains how they can Share their SPARK of Kindness with others. Here’s some ideas: How could you reach out to someone new at school? How about someone not picked for a team at recess,? What about someone who looks different than you?  We want to show that everyone can make a difference to others, no matter how young they are!

All preschool and elementary age students in the town of Natick are eligible for this free contest. Individual and group entries of art projects, essays, stories or poems are being accepted.  Group submissions will also be accepted from classrooms, scout troops, church groups, etc.

All entries will be judged by a panel of community members and prizes awarded for winning submissions in both individual and group categories and by age group.  All entries will be part of a town-wide exhibition at the Natick Community Senior Center this Spring.   All participants will receive a certificate for participating in this important town-wide campaign.

All entries are due by Wednesday, May 7.  Submission boxes will be placed at all five elementary schools, in the Natick Community Senior Center, and at the Morse Institute Library.  If you need assistance in getting your entry in, please contact Lori Davis at 508-655-5006.
