The Massachusetts Thanksgiving Week Forecast

Tuesday rain turns to snow showers with latest forecast. Wednesday predicted to be a rainy one, making for a tough travel day.

For many, it's a short work week, but a busy one full of shopping, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.

It's also a heavy travel week, so here is quick look at the weather forecast to help everyone through the official start of the holiday season.

MONDAY: Mid-30s, with sunny skies.

TUESDAY: Mid-40s, with a 40 percent chance of showers during the day. Tuesday night, showers will mix with snow as the temperatures drop to the low 30s.

WEDNESDAY: The busiest travel day of the year is going to be hampered by periods of heavy rain which some models say could potentially turn to snow in parts north and west. The temperature is expected to hit close to 50 degrees in the daytime hours, but then drop dramatically to the mid-20s.

THURSDAY: It will be a nice, but brisk day for the annual Thanksgiving Day football games as Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-30s.

FRIDAY: A sunny day is on tap for Black Friday shopping with temperatures expected to be in the mid-30s.
