Wilson Middle School Looking for Volunteer CPA

The Wilson School PTO is looking for a CPA, preferably a Wilson parent, who would be willing to donate their time and energy to help us complete our taxes. If anyone is interested please contact Liz Marshall at marshall.lizabeth@gmail.com.

Our Laps for Lunch Program needs VOLUNTEERS! To ensure students safety, we prefer to have at least 4 parent volunteers daily during Laps after Lunch.  This fall we have been running Laps with fewer than 4 parents.  This creates less supervision of the students as well as possibly the cancellation of Laps if a volunteer is unable to attend.  Thank you for considering to volunteer for this important program ... providing our students with the fresh air and exercise they need.  Volunteers needed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, or on a substitute basis.  For information, please contact Jeanne Holihan at jholihan@natickps.org. Back to School Night Schedule

This is an opportunity for parents (no students please) to meet teachers, hear about the curriculum, and review team expectations for the year.  Please keep in mind that this is an Open House for all parents, it is not a time for individual conferences about your child.   

Genevieve Gift Wrap Fundraiser

Genevieve Gift Wrap sales have begun! This year we are specifically raising money for Mini Grants for classroom enrichment, Cultural Arts programming, and Wilson Scholarships given to 5 graduating NHS seniors who attended Wilson.

Fundraiser Dates: Tuesday, September 17th to Tuesday, October 1st.

We receive up to 50% profit on all sales.

School Council Parent Representative Openings

Every year our PTO is given the charge to run an election for School Council (SC), an advisory body to the Principal. Its primary function is to review and update the School Improvement Plan as well as advise the Principal on issues within the community.

Currently we have two parents returning to the council, Sue Gibson and Susan Geiser. They are in the second year of their current term. We need to elect three more candidates who are willing to make a two-year commitment to the Council. If you are interested in joining the School Council, please send a short statement announcing your desire. Send your statement of intent to Stacy Bradford atstacy.bradford@mac.com. We will collect the statements and vote in new SC parent reps at our first PTO meeting on Thursday, October 4, 2013. Please submit your letters of intent by Friday, September 27, 2013.

Our first School Council meeting will be Thursday, October 17, 2013 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Wilson Library. School Council meetings are held every third Thursday of the month from 7:00-9:00p.m.

Every year, WMS participates in the Stop & Shop A+ SchoolRewards Program. By linking your Stop & Shop card to WMS, every time you shop at Stop & Shop, our

school earns money...so easy! Please login at www.stopandshop.com/aplus and go tothe "Customer Registration" section. Our school code number is 06443. Please note: even if you did this last year, you must re-register your card this year to earn points for Wilson. Have kids at multiple schools...don't fret - you can split your card earnings between the schools. 

Box Tops 4 Education Program

Don't forget to clip your Box Tops 4 Education Coupons for Wilson. For each coupon clipped we earn 10 cents, which can really add up. Last year we received almost $1000 from the Box Top Program, which enabled the PTO to pay for a projection screen for the gymnasium. You will find Box Topscoupons on items you use everyday such as food, paper goods & apparel.  It's easy to do and it is free. If you like, you can download and print a collection sheet here which will help you keep track of the little coupons. Please send in your coupons and drop them off in the "Box Tops 4 Education" box located in the lobby just outside the office door.
