BOSTON Representative David Linsky (D-Natick), announced today that Governor Deval L. Patrick and Secretary of Public Safety and Security Andrea J. Cabral have awarded grant funds for the Student Awareness of Fire Education (S.A.F.E.) Program and the Senior S.A.F.E. program to the town of Natick in the amount of $9,004.00 for fiscal year 2014.

“Teaching young people and seniors about fire safety and prevention is very important,” said Rep. Linsky.  “S.A.F.E. is an excellent program with proven success. I commend the Natick fire department for their dedication to this important program.”

S.A.F.E. provides resources to fire departments across the Commonwealth to promote fire and life safety education for students in grades pre-K-12, and Senior S.A.F.E. works with seniors on fire prevention, home safety and fire preparedness.
