Urgent Healthcare Center Opens in Natick

A grand opening ceremony was held on Thursday for Doctors Express, an urgent care facility that serves as an alternative to the emergency room.

The doors opened at Doctors Express, a medical treatment center that promises to bring care for urgent medical needs at a price cheaper than the emergency room.

A grand opening ceremony was held at the Route 9 center on Thursday which local politicians, officials and residents attended.

Cutting the ribbon at the ceremony was Bing Yeo, the center's Managing Director.

"There has to be a better way to deliver health care," Yeo said. "We want to provide an affordable option."

The group said in press release last week that insurance co-pays at Doctors Express are expected to be four to six times lower than those in emergency rooms.

Three doctors and a team of medical technicians staff the Route 9 location, which is a member of the Doctors Express franchise.

Equipped with advanced medical technology, the center is capable of treating an array of illnesses including sports injuries, trauma, acute illness and open wounds, the organization's website said.

The center will accept its first walk-in patients on Friday.
