Natick's Marty Walsh Receives Awkward Call from Vice President

Joe Biden thought he offered congratulations to Boston's new mayor.

At least he can say the vice president of the United States once called him.

Natick's Marty Walsh was sitting at home Tuesday night when his phone rang. On the other end was Joe Biden.

According to the Boston Globe, Biden offered his congratulations on becoming Boston's new mayor. Only problem was Biden called the wrong Walsh.

And he wasn't alone. Walsh told the Boston Globe he received multiple calls from other delegates, only to tell them he wasn't who they were looking for.

The Natick Walsh is a former aide to Sen. Ted Kennedy. Currently, he is the president of Gateway Public Solutions, a government relations firm in Boston.
