Sarah Smiley, Author of Dinner With The Smileys, One Military Family, One Year of Heroes, and Lessons for a Lifetime, will appear on Sunday, March 23, 2PM at the Eliot Church, 45 Eliot St., S. Natick.
When her Navy pilot husband was deployed, Sarah and her boys promised to fill his dinner table seat with one guest per week. From politicians and Olympic athletes to musicians and teachers, these visitors brought lifelong lessons. Described by Publisher’s Weekly as “An Erma Bombeck for the military-wife set,” Smiley takes readers on a heartfelt and entertaining journey by way of sharing a meal. Refreshments will be served and Sarah Smiley’s books will be for sale. This event is presented by the Friends of the Bacon Free Library In partnership with the Natick Historical Society and the Eliot Church of South Natick. Admission is free, although donations are welcome. For more information visit: www.baconfreelibrary.org, or call 508.653.6730. For directions visit: www.theeliotchurch.org/directions
