NATICK WALK OCT 5th

The
Walk'n Mass Volkssport Club invites walkers to
participate
in either a 5 km or 10 km (3.1 or 6.2 mile) walk

in
Natick, Mass.

The
start point is the Morse Institute Library, Community Room on lower
level, 14 East Central St, Natick, Mass. Registration is from 10
a.m. to 1 p.m., finish by 4 p.m.

Both
walk routes pass Casey's Diner, one of the oldest 10-stool diners in
the United States. The 5km route passes the Central Fire Station, now
home to the The Center for the Arts, the downtown area and some
residential neighborhoods. The 10km passes the Walnut Hill School for
the Performing Arts, Memorial Beach, the Station 5 Grille, and
residential areas.

The
5k route is completely on paved roads and sidewalks and mostly flat
with one small hill. The 10km route has one long gradual up-and-down
hill. Both routes are suitable for strollers, but wheelchairs will
have difficulty with stairs and hill on the 10km. Leashed pets are
welcome and clean-up laws apply.

The
walk is sponsored by the Walk ‘n Mass Volkssport Club.
Volkssporting events promote fun, fitness and friendship by providing
non-competitive walking and other sporting events free to the public.
