Letter Carriers Thanks Framingham & Natick Residents for Bags and Bags of Food

Submitted & Written by Bill Lynch, President of the NALC Branch 334:

I would also like to thank the residents and businesses of Natick and Framingham who donated to the 2014 Letter Carrier food drive.

This is the largest national food drive all year.

What is donated here gives a much needed lift to the food pantries. This year, Stop and Shop donated not only a truck to transport the food, but they donated people as well. The added volunteers made for a quick transition from the Post Office to the pantries. Some things money can't buy. Way to go Stop and Shop.

Seven local food pantries from Framingham and Natick were the recipients of this years collection.

Thanks to Framingham Letter Carrier Judy Kobosky, who was instrumental in coordinating with the food pantries.

A big thanks to our brother and sister letter carriers who really stepped up and did what they needed to do to collect this food.

We had family and friends as well as retired letter carriers all helping out. But most of all, thanks to all who donated.

Without you, there would be no food for the people who need it the most.
