My grandmother has been in and out of the psych unit here and to say it has been unpleasant would be an understatement. My grandmother is going through severe anxiety and possibly dementia. Her condition has deteriorated since she was admitted and she has now fallen TWICE and the second, my family wasn't notified (My grandfather found out when he asked her how she got the band aid on her head). Additionally, they've been giving her all kinds of different drugs that none of us are very clear about what they are. Her primary care doctors thought she would come out of this stage to come back to normal but its clear that the "treatment" shes received here has made it worse and that will never happen. When all is said and done, my grandmother will now never be the same because of this sad excuse of a hospital that states "personalized care" in their mission statement.
