David Leopold, Gone at 67

The Pennsylvania native was among the first men to graduate Bennington College.

David Arthur Leopold, 67, of Natick, passed away on October 7. He was the beloved husband of Janet M. (Rzasa) Leopold with whom he shared 12 years of marriage.

The devoted father of Jonathan Bowen-Leopold of Randolph, he was also the dear brother of Donald R. Leopold of Concord & William S. Leopold of Merion, PA and the “Honorary Dad” of Dawn Hartford of Raymond, NH & Brian Lizak of Portland, ME. David is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

He was the son of the late Robert & Edith (Abelmann) Leopold. David was born in Philadelphia, PA & raised in Rydal, PA. He was educated at the Germantown Friends School and earned his B.A. degree & was a member of the 1st class in which men graduated from Bennington College in VT. He was a well-known Bridge instructor throughout the region. David was extremely devoted to his family, he enjoyed music & sports in particular the New England Patriots, & enjoyed traveling especially to Bermuda.

Relatives & friends are cordially invited to attend David’s funeral service on Wednesday, October 10, at 12:30 p.m. in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday morning from 10-12:30 p.m.
