Timothy F. Lilley Sr., 82, Former Natick Resident

Funeral Mass planned for Oct. 16 in Hudson.

Timothy F. Lilley Sr., 82, of Hudson, former longtime resident of Natick, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester, according to the Community Advocate. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Virginia J. (Halloran) Lilley, who died in 2011.

Timothy was born and raised in Westborough, son of the late James and Madeline (DesPres) Lilley. He attended local schools and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1948 at age 17. He honorably served in the Army for eight years as a Korean War veteran and then proudly enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving 13 years as a tech Sergeant and veteran of the Vietnam War until his retirement from the armed forces in 1969. He resided in Natick from 1969 to 2004.

He worked as a self-employed handy man for many years and eventually took a position with the Needham Public Library until retiring in 2002. He has resided in Hudson since 2004.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Oct 16, at 9:00 a.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial services will be held privately at a later date in Saint Brigid’s Cemetery, Millbury. Family and friends may attend calling hours Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
