5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 3

Check out an author discussion, buy a car wash to support Wilson Middle School, donate books to an upcoming book drive and more in Natick today.

 

Our daily morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. Mark your calendars for the Got Books, Inc. used book drive on April 9 and 23 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The company will collect books, DVDs audio books and CDs and will pick them up from your home or office. Register Online by April 16 to reserve a pick-up for the April 23 drive.

2. After recent rain, your car is bound to be muddy. coupons are still available for purchase through April 13 to benefit the PTO. Each car wash costs $10, $5 of which will go to the school. If you'd like to buy a car wash, email masiegel@comcast.net.

3. After September 11th, Jessica Locke volunteered at FDNY Engine 32 and became a support for many of the men and women who sacrificed, inspiring her to write a book—Rescue at Engine 32. Locke will talk about her book and her experiences at the tomorrow at 3 p.m.
