RCN is Premiere Sponsor at Radio 92.9 Annual EarthFest on May 17th

RCN Boston leading provider of, high speed internet, all-digital television and phone services, announced today that it will once again be a Premiere Sponsor for Radio 92.9’s 20th annual EarthFest on Saturday, May 17, at Boston’s DCR Hatch Shell.  As part of the celebration, RCN will be giving VIP passes to those who sign up for RCN services at the event. For new customers who sign up at the RCN booth at Earthfest, they will receive passes to enjoy the concert from the VIP area and have the opportunity to go “backstage” for refreshments.

 

This year’s concert lineup will feature performances from Neon Trees, The Wailers, Smallpools, Morning Parade, as well as a special opening performance by the winner of the Heineken Radio 92.9 Battle of the Bands contest.

“We are very excited to sponsor the Radio 92.9 EarthFest again this year and to give an exciting experience to those attending,” said RCN Boston Vice President and General Manager Jeff Carlson. “RCN cares about the communities that it serves, and sponsoring events like EarthFest is a great opportunity for us to show just how much we care. We will also have some fun with the Major League Baseball Network strike zone where you can test your pitching skills and win prizes.”

EarthFest is a free public event that showcases environmentally friendly products, groups and activities.  Visitors to the RCN booth will have the opportunity to learn about the amazing TiVo experience, sign up for service and win promotional items, goodies and VIP backstage passes. RCN’s signature summer Ice Cream Truck will also be loaded with free ice-cream for everyone, while supplies last. The concert will be streaming live from the tent all day.

 

RCN will also be hosting a pitching contest at their inflatable Major League Baseball Network strike zone. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a baseball pitcher as they will have three chances to pitch a strike to win prizes.
